Hinata really never disappoints me lol! it's so funny to see Hinata and Nishinoya's first meeting. I already fell in love with Nishinoya senpai!! He is so funny but incredibly cool at the same time!

Nishinoya’s introduction feels reassuring. The role of libero is quietly explained. It’s fun how they carefully curate the information for the first-time volleyball watchers and others. These story development episodes are superb; they nab us and relate to us more with the plot.

This episode felt like the final piece needed for Karasuno to start becoming a complete team. It introduced interesting characters while also setting up an intriguing backstory and conflict for the other members.

I already love Nishinoya—is that so bad? Lol. This was such a fun episode, especially seeing how similar Noya is to Tanaka when it comes to taking care of Hinata. Their dynamic is already so entertaining.

Noyaaa! I love how flashy and loud he is—such an iconic character right away. This was a great episode for introducing more members and showing the growing friendships within the team.

The team’s ace Azumane struggles with confidence after past losses. Hinata and Kageyama’s relentless energy slowly helps rebuild his courage to return to the court.

Karasuno's new libero is such a vibe! His "Rolling Thunder" adds the perfect hype!⚡ This episode shows the glory of a spike by showing the trauma of being "blocked". Azumane's return will add a powerful ace to the team.

A really satisfying episode overall. The emotional beats land well and the team's growth already feels tangible and earned. There's a warmth to this episode that's hard to describe but easy to feel. The kind of episode that reminds you why you started watching in the first place

A nice "wind down" episode after the intense practice match with Aoba Johsai. Introduces new characters in Karasuno team which is fun and great! Lots of great scenes and showcase the team's dynamic more.

This EP felt slow for me, with former Karasuno player reappears seeing as why the team fell from its champion status. The episode raises the question: can the current team step up, or will the returning veteran lead the way to strengthen and inspire them further?

The emotions I felt from this were so unexpected. I appreciate how this took the time to allow for Asahi to feel insecure about being an ace and for the audience to feel that weight of being called an ace. The last moment with Nishinoya... I think it actually made my heart race.

This episode is very good because I can see Asahi's emotional development when he is persuaded by Hinata and Kageyama. Besides that, Nisinoya is also no less funny than Hinata. The animation quality is good, it can capture the changes in the characters' emotions well.

It’s a chill episode, but I still recommend watching it because this is where the other missing members of the team get introduced along with their own struggles.

Hinata, you're so easily impressed, man! But hey, I gotta say, Nishinoya is really impressive. I like this episode—the new characters are lovable and show real struggles. I know that feeling… oppression, uncertainty, disappointment, and failure. Everyone probably knows it.

Watching Nishinoya burst in and perfectly nail Kageyama's serve was such a hype moment—I remember feeling like Karasuno finally found its missing piece. The best part was seeing the "Guardian Deity" in action; his energy totally shifted the team's stakes. Pure gold. 🏐🔥

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the early practice match against Aoba Johsai, episode 8 pivots inward to address the fractured roster that Karasuno needs to fix before they can compete seriously. Nishinoya and Asahi's unresolved conflict becomes the central tension, laying critical groundwork for the team's full assembly. This character work directly feeds into the upcoming Nekoma practice match and establishes emotional stakes that will resonate through the rest of the season.
