The 3 on 3 match challenge is so intense! I don't like Tsukishima lol, he is really a mean but cool tall guy. I must admit that Hinata is really so patient with Kageyama and I like how the senpai really support Hinata and Kageyama!

I like how Hinata and Kageyama are starting to figure each other out here, even if it’s still messy. Not teamwork yet, more like they’re slowly stopping themselves from clashing all the time. The new first-years also bring annoying but interesting tension that shakes things up

The aspect of a team is brilliantly shown like supporting each other and growing together. The narrative serves the purpose. Along with the pace, how funny scenes are presented, I personally prefer this sequence in this episode. The new character introductions also felt fruitful.

Episode Context

Following episode 2's reestablishment of Karasuno's volleyball club, this episode deepens the foundational rivalry-turned-partnership between Hinata and Kageyama that will define the entire season. It introduces the interpersonal fault lines among the first-years, particularly the Tsukishima dynamic, that become recurring sources of tension and growth. Everything here feeds directly into the upcoming 3-on-3 match, which will serve as the first real test of whether these fractured relationships can produce results on the court.
