The visual direction shifts to an aquatic environment, bringing a refreshing burst of sea-blue filters and splashing wave physics. The background artwork of the celestial coast is spectacular, utilizing deep ocean gradients. The animation captures subtle, rhythmic movements to illustrate the hypnotic power of divine music traveling over the water.

I have some mixed feelings for this episode. The pacing felt strange almost like they were awkwardly re-explaining dynamics we already knew. Still the ocean scenery was gorgeous, Otohime's introduction was beautiful and the music continues to be great.

Opening up the episode with straight up bang, there's a lot to see and think to at once lmao.. There's a big reveal for Heikan, and there's a good deal of plot progress as well.
