Gurren Lagann just goes so hard. Plus the animation is so peak

Epic

A good anime that makes you believe that anything is possible with hard work, determination and of course the power to drill through the heavens

so far is the most touching chapter, its a game changing and the whole team have to face the consecuences that happened on this chapter

The ending. Genuinely one of the most complete, earned finales in anime. Nothing is wasted. The bittersweet tone lands because the show built toward it properly. Simon's final form as a character is perfect. Grab tissues. You've been warned. Watch the full credits. Trust me. 😭

Full galaxy vs galaxy mecha battle. The animation team ascended to a different plane of existence. Every deceased character shows up in the fight in a way that will make you ugly cry... :( The final duel is unhinged in every good way. This is peak anime spectacle, no debate. <3

The team gets trapped in pocket realities and it's genuinely unsettling then Simon breaks through with pure will. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann debuts here and I cannot describe the feeling of seeing that for the first time. a Galaxy sized mecha is Unreal! O_o

KITTAN. That's all I'll say. If you know, you know. If you don't watch it and come back. This episode is why Gurren Lagann is in the hall of fame of anime. TwT

The final war against Anti-Spiral begins. Every character gets a moment. Team DaiGurren assembles in space and the scale is genuinely incomprehensible. The animation budget is clearly being saved for something massive! O_o

Simon's return. The buildup pays off hard. Rossiu's arc concludes in the most satisfying way Simon doesn't even punch him, he just… understands. Arc 3 ending hits like a truck. Best episode of this arc easily. <3

Simon in prison, rock bottom again. But this time it hits differently because he's aware. The scene where he works through this mentally is quietly one of the best in the series. Rossiu's breakdown is also peak. 😭

First space battle. Mugann enemies hit diffirent they explode into Anti-Spiral energy that destroys anything nearby! The rules changed and the team has to adapt fast. THE ANIMATION STEPS UP!! OwO

Rossiu arc in full swing. He starts making decisions that make your blood boil but honestly you understand why It's one of the most morally complex episodes in the show. Simon gets put in a position he never expected... :(

Lordgenome's severed head gets used as a computer. This show is insane. The Anti Spiral truth starts unraveling and it recontextualizes everything. Pay attention here. <3

7 year time skip. Simon's basically president now and Kamina City exists. The tone completely changes politics, overpopulation, responsibility. Rossiu takes a bigger role. <3

It's a clip show. A literal recap episode of Simon's journey. Skip it if you've been watching normally it adds nothing new. If someone forced you to watch ep16 first just know it's the one bad apple. The rest of the show does not look like this in terms of effort. ^^;
