EPISODE REVIEWS
In this episode, we see a grittier side of the story, reflecting human discrimination and fear of difference; a mercenary at a crossroads, forced to make crucial decisions; and a deeply emotional scene in which one of the protagonists battles his own inner demons. All these elements are the perfect ingredients to keep me hooked and eager to discover what's in store for future episodes.
The episode starts to tone down, but it still provides a canon idea about the characters. It gives Mercenary solid character depth. His wish for a normal life feels more personal here, while the Plasta setting adds a fresh change of pace.
This chapter also further explores the consequences of using magic, especially when it falls into the wrong hands. The story maintains a constant atmosphere of tension and shows how some characters begin to reveal important aspects of their true intentions.
