I highly recommend this chapter. I love how the characters' backstories gradually unfold, and how cruel and unjust humanity can be due to fear of the unknown. Different revelations keep coming, and the plot begins to make sense. The shocking revelation at the end of the chapter is simply brilliant.

The tension in the story increases considerably, and the consequences of magic-related conflicts begin to be shown more clearly. Zero and the mercenary face situations where trust and quick decisions become crucial to their survival.
