EPISODE REVIEWS

while the narrative finally introduces the core premise of diving, the pacing is severely flawed. the protagonist transitions from being entirely unable to swim to loving the water far too abruptly

Episode Context

After two episodes establishing the diving club's anarchic personality and Iori's reluctant involvement, episode 3 deepens his integration into the group while introducing Azusa, a character who will remain significant throughout the season. This is the bridge between the pure setup phase and the upcoming Izu Spring Festival arc, laying groundwork for the relationships and challenges that will define Iori's trajectory across the remaining nine episodes.
