while the narrative finally introduces the core premise of diving, the pacing is severely flawed. the protagonist transitions from being entirely unable to swim to loving the water far too abruptly

the girl suddenly coming out was so funny im just glad the plot is finally progressing a bit and he is actually trying out diving

OKAY NOW THE PACING IS GOING WAY TOO QUICK How do you go from not being able to swim at all to loving the water in two seconds? now make it make sense

Apart from the usual comic tone, it is truly commendable how the nomenclature of diving was well represented in this episode. Still, it is super funny how the seniors use puns with Kohei and Iori to convince them to do things. This duo is unbeatable in terms of comedy.

Liking the atmosphere and vibe of this show. Some much needed fun considering chaos happening in the world. The new character is insane. In fact, everyone in this series is likely insane, haha. This was again another hilarious episode!

This is another great and fun episode. The way how lori explained his experience with Chisa is wholesome. But that game is so intense- the chaos between the boys and Chisa is funny. Another character introduction adds a top-tier moments! 😂

That group dynamic just keeps getting worse—in the best way. The lies, the panic, the instant betrayals… everything escalates so fast it’s ridiculous. Some jokes lean into cringe territory, but the commitment from the cast makes it gold. You’re locked in now 😭

Iori finally getting into the actual ocean instead of a drinking at a club was surprisingly beautiful. That shift from the chaotic stripping to the genuine awe of seeing the "new world" underwater was such a vibe. But obviously, he still found a way to make it weird by panicking

Another great episode! I love the show's underlying theme of not being afraid to try new things, and I especially love how it highlights the beauty of new experiences. This was a calmer episode, but still exciting nonetheless.

EPISODE CONTEXT

After two episodes establishing the diving club's anarchic personality and Iori's reluctant involvement, episode 3 deepens his integration into the group while introducing Azusa, a character who will remain significant throughout the season. This is the bridge between the pure setup phase and the upcoming Izu Spring Festival arc, laying groundwork for the relationships and challenges that will define Iori's trajectory across the remaining nine episodes.
