Rowan really lost the plot this episode. Telling Lara to stab the person she loves because her light got corrupted is insane. You can feel his bitterness toward humans poisoning everything. I used to think he was just protective but now he's just cruel

That goodbye call shattered me. Lara telling Marie not to come while sobbing like that and Marie promising she'll find her anyway. The way the phone sinks into the water. This whole episode was Lara protecting who she actually loves and I think we all know who that is

That goodbye call scene broke me. Marie screaming shes coming no matter what while Lara drops her phone into the lake was brutal. And the sea snake at the end literally jumpscared me on my couch. This show refuses to give you a single clean moment

Grace dying off-screen like that feels so anticlimactic. We barely got to know her and now she's supposedly gone forever. There was so much more the show could have done with her backstory instead of just flashbacks. That goodbye to Marie carried weight though

Grace dying off screen would be the worst choice this show has made. She was the whole reason Lara became human in the first place and now shes just gone after a generic monster fight? That cannot be it. Shes too mysterious to end like that

I am so tired of the Luca argument taking over every thread. Watch the scene again. Lara thinks of Marie not him not once but twice and the dagger glows for her. The writing is telling you exactly who she loves and people still want to debate it

My favorite moment was definitely Luka holding up his phone on the ferry so Lara could watch the finals live. Watching her cry on the deck wanting to be there for Mari was incredible and then that massive vessel crashing into the lake outta nowhere blew my mind. The animation during Mari's final combo was so clean too.

That giant spindle vessel falling straight out of the sky into Lake Biwa was totally unexpected. It created a literal wave that pushed Lara's ferry right onto the sand just in time for the match

Lara breaking down under the bridge and confessing how terrified she is of dying hit me so hard. She always acts so bubbly so seeing her completely snap against the concrete wall was heartbreaking

I was lowkey nervous the show was gonna force the Luka romance but this episode made it so clear where the real bond is. Mari fighting her heart out in the ring while Lara races back to her side was just perfect

Mari getting teary in the corner and then seeing Lara stand there gave me absolute chills. That boat literally getting lifted onto the beach by a sky monolith just so Lara could watch her fight was so wild and awesome

I lost it when Lara locked eyes with Mari from the doorway during that brutal third round. Mari powering through the exhaustion to land that final combo was pure hype and I really hope that custard cake promise at the end isnt a massive death flag

Everything's becoming clearer now but there's still so much thats surrounded with mystery. Motives, what exactly is going on. The simpler story about just a mermaid finding love is much easier to understand, as for the rest...we'll see i guess..

Maybe things will be different this time for Lara and her true love. Different times and this time she can speak and communicate with her prince and he already knows she's a mermaid. Also so funny that he keeps tripping for no reason.

I like that Luca seems to represent the Prince's regrets and how fateful their encounter is. He loves beautiful things but they always seem out of his reach until now. The reveal of the floating object was also a surprise. Now the question remains of how far Lisa will go

That giant dagger fish hanging in the sky was genuinely unsettling. You go from sweet date moments to literal horror imagery of her trauma real fast

Everyone on reddit getting mad about the romance shift needs to calm down. Luca tripping over his own feet and eating both curry buns proved he is not the old prince at all
