Episode Context

As the series opener of twelve episodes, this installment functions as a prologue, there is nothing before it, and everything after it depends on what Lara sets in motion here. The episode establishes the emotional and thematic foundation of the entire series, bridging a traditional fantasy world with the modern-day Japan setting that will define the bulk of the story ahead. Episode 2 is positioned to pick up directly from that tonal shift, moving the narrative into its central arc of redemption and self-discovery.
