As a fan of the manga, I was waiting to see this section animated in its full glory and Brain's Base delivered! Besides the usual incredible action sequences, the great voice acting and fantastic comedy beats, we're finally done with the Sapporo arc.

The narrator was right, this was an escalation, not just of the stakes but also of the brutality.. In quick succession, a good number of the cast got smoked in an extermely gory, if not spectacular manner. And amidst all of that is reveal of the final clue and its implications.

Man, the humor just drops right in the middle of serious moments, and it somehow works. This episode delivered dark, graphic fight scenes while still keeping that chaotic comedy.

Episode Context

Picking up directly from 'Send Up the Fireworks,' this episode closes out the Sapporo brewery skirmish that has dominated the season's opening stretch, bringing several character arcs to a definitive and fatal end. The fallout dismantles the serial killer hunt thread and removes key players from the board, marking a hard pivot away from the season's early chaos and toward the final race for the gold. At episode three of thirteen, it functions as a decisive transition, the end of the opening act and the first true signal that Golden Kamuy's endgame is now fully in motion.
