Such a great exploration of what being gay in school feels like, and what it feels like to crush on someone who is seemingly straight and how much it hurts. Very accurate. Broke my heart and built it back up again in every episode. I adore them both. Emotional r

I enjoyed seeing the characters interact more naturally without relying on constant jokes. The warm atmosphere make this one of the series' sweetest episodes.

OMG OMG. I love this first major moment of closeness between them; my heart started racing. Hirose isn't 100% honest with himself and is too nice, he tries too hard to please others. I like that they’re being more honest.

This episode is the start of Nakamura's confession. It mixes feelings of jealousy, sadness, and happiness all in one place. But he managed to deliver it at the end of the episode. Heartwarming and enjoyable to watch!

PEAK EP~ A field trip in the stylish Yokohama Chinatown! 🐼 The visuals are extra beautiful in this episode 🥺🫶 The aquarium and sunset scenes with Nakamura-kun and Hirose-kun are especially gorgeous!! The emotions here are refreshingly sweet and honest. 😇 The theme about being true to yourself really shines through ✨ The payoff at the end has me smiling super wide! Omedetou, Nakamura!!!

Hirose and Nakamura's interactions and relationship progress here was so peak! The bridge scene especially showed MC being way more honest with himself and Hirose, it felt like watching him get more confident and self-assured in real time.

This episode showed Nakamura doubting himself and his relationship with Hirose, which made the series concept much more realistic and honest! With so many setbacks, it felt inevitable that Nakamura would feel saddened by his progress. A great episode overall, really honest pov!

Otogiri-sensei paying for their lunch and giving that cool smile made him the best character in the episode hands down

My heart actually melted when Nakamura gave Hirose that little crab keychain at the end after all that stress in Chinatown

That scene where Hirose stood up for Nakamura and his octopus interest was so sweet and the blue lighting in the aquarium looked amazing

The scene in the aquarium where the blue light hits their faces made everything feel so intimate, and hearing Hirose say he prefers Nakamura’s quiet company over the noisy group felt like a massive breakthrough for Nakamura.

I actually started crying when Nakamura handed over that little crab keychain and Hirose immediately put it on his bag and it was just the cutest way to end the school trip

Hirose choosing to skip the ferry ride just to hang out with Nakamura in the park was so sweet and it really showed how much he values their time together even when the loud group is around

Lots of different vibes in this episode. Instead of leaning into the comedy genre within this series, this episode showed more of Nakamura and Hirose's relationship in real time. IT felt a little underwhelming when I had expected more of a comedy angle going into this episode.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Episode 5's comedic misunderstandings around Hirose's relationships, this episode marks a clear tonal shift — the series begins trading confusion-driven humor for genuine emotional investment between its leads. At the season's midpoint, Episode 6 functions as a pivot, establishing a more heartfelt register that the back half of the season will build on.
