EPISODE REVIEWS

The entire episode is a real pain to get through, because of the long focus on insignificant things like using glue and paint, giving it an excruciatingly slow pace. The attempt to help Madarame improve his social skills by Saki is toooooo boring.

The way I view the episode, it’s a masterclass in social awkwardness. The turning point is when Saki tries to "fix" Madarame’s social skills, which goes exactly as expected. My opinion about the graphics is that the simple, clean animation style keeps the focus on the dialogue.

The focus on the tiny details - the glue, the paint, the patience is so satisfying to watch. It really captures that Zen like state of working on a hobby. Plus, the banter while they work is just top tier.
