EPISODE REVIEWS

Side plot episode. Writing: This one was good but a bit convulated. Setting: More exploration of the setting. Animation: Very good. Pacing: The pacing was very good, this episode was quite dense with plot so the pacing being like this was very nice.

Episode Context

Coming directly after the emotionally heavy Episode 3, which established the Elric brothers' tragic origins and their departure from Resembool, this episode serves as a narrative breather, a standalone filler story before the main quest picks up momentum. It doesn't advance the overarching plot of finding the Philosopher's Stone, but it reinforces the ethical framework that will define Ed and Al's journey through the remaining 47 episodes.
