The finale of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood brings the whole show together. It's so nice seeing all the characters we grew to love work together in so many different ways. Also, it's so nice to see Alphonse finally getting his body back with the help of his big brother.

The sight of little Selim being raised by Mrs Bradley as a kind kid really got to me. It shows that even a monster can have a second chance if they are given love

Roy refusing to fix his eyes until Havoc can walk again shows how much he actually cares about his team and that made him such a better leader

That final monologue about a heart made of fullmetal gives you chills, especially after watching Ed struggle with that hammer on the roof. It shows he really doesn't need alchemy to be a strong person

I honestly thought the ending would feel rushed, but seeing everyone get their own closure was beautiful. The way Al is going East while Ed goes West shows they are finally their own people now. That final photo of Ed and Winry with their kids actually made me cry. It felt like saying goodbye to old friends after a long journey together

Ling becoming the Emperor and promising to protect all the clans including May was such a huge step for him and he really went from a greedy prince to a leader who actually cares about everyone

Honestly, I wasn't sure about the Philosopher's Stone thing, but Roy using it for Havoc first was the right move. It felt like he finally put his people before his own ambition.

Roy using the stone to help Havoc walk again instead of fixing his own eyes first was such a massive move for him and he really grew as a person and the way his team stays together is great

Seeing Selim play with that bird as a normal kid is kind of creepy but also sweet since it gives that family a fresh start without the homunculus mess

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode 64 of 64, 'Journey's End' serves as the series epilogue following the massive, multi-episode climactic battle that defined the final stretch of Brotherhood. Everything the show built toward — the conspiracies, the homunculi, the Elric brothers' quest — reached its explosive resolution in the preceding episodes, and this finale exists to show what comes after. It's the emotional exhale after 63 episodes of escalating stakes, delivering the closure that this sprawling narrative earned.
