The disconnection between Sousuke's two worlds is becoming painful to watch. Kaname’s frustration is so valid. It’s not just a rom com misunderstanding anymore, it’s genuine emotional distance. The psychological weight of his job is really starting to show.

Episode Context

Coming directly off the complications of the Nanjing rescue mission in 'Labyrinth and Dragon,' this episode escalates the fallout, internal security breaches now threaten Mithril from within, not just from external enemies. It represents the early-season pivot from establishing threats to forcing characters into desperate responses. 'Daylight' builds critical tension that feeds directly into 'Beautiful Sicily,' shifting the conflict from immediate crisis management toward the broader strategic war that defines the season's back half.
