EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode has major "bringing your college friends to your hometown" energy, except your friends happen to be ridiculously strong and slightly chaotic.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 3's magic-academy crisis and its themes of growth through hardship, Episode 4 deliberately slows the rhythm and shifts the setting to Beryl's hometown, opening the season's Bidden Village storyline. It functions as a character-centered bridge that deepens Beryl's backstory and establishes the local circumstances that will drive the next phase of the arc. The reunion with Mordea and the village setting plant seeds for a more action-oriented challenge, connecting the academy arc's lessons to whatever practical trial awaits the group at home.
