This episode slows everything down just to rebuild it properly, turning heartbreak into motivation and setting up the relay as the moment that actually matters. Literally made my heart beat x1000

Haru snapping out of it by realizing he swims to see his friends waiting for him is simple but powerful, because it brings him back to something real instead of pressure or expectations. This episode is HYPEEE and so emotional T_T

Episode Context

Following the individual tournament events of the preceding episodes where each Iwatobi member confronted personal limits, episode 8 marks the critical pivot point from solo ambition to team unity around the medley relay. It sits at the two-thirds mark of a 12-episode season, functioning as the emotional reset before the final competitive arc. Everything from here forward builds toward the relay and the resolution of Haruka and Rin's fractured relationship.
