The scenes where the logistics and heartbreaking realities of this expedition are discussed really hit hard. The weight on the leadership's shoulders is heavy, and the anime doesn't shy away from the emotional toll it takes on everyone involved.

I don't know if it's just me, but this series is really good at making me feel safe for a few minutes before reminding me that's a terrible idea 😅😅 The tension this time was much stronger than I expected, and I found myself worrying about several characters instead of only the main cast. That's probably the biggest surprise so far. Even the supporting characters feel important enough that I actually want to know more about them.

That was great action from the new pilots. The action sequences and choreography were great. It isn't very long before they're already preparing for a different fight - but I do appreciate the moments where they focus on the characters themselves. It makes you understand them better.
