EPISODE REVIEWS

I finally started remembering some of the characters instead of wondering who everyone was 😂 Hiroto, Seri, Akira, and Rina got much more attention this time, so it was easier to get attached to them. I also like that the series doesn't rush to explain everything. I'm still confused about a few things, but now it's the kind of confusion that makes me want to keep watching instead of giving up.

This definitely should've been combined with the first episode as it would've made for a more solid premise. Nevertheless, it was great to see more of the mecha in actions and how they fight. This "Festum" creature is interesting (including the design) and looks like there's more to it than meets the eye, judging by the end interaction. I think this could be good.

This episode does a fantastic job of building on the tense setup of the premiere, masterfully dialing up both the political friction and the emotional stakes. What makes it resonate so strongly is how it handles the interaction between the islanders and the visiting human army faction. It captures that deep, mutual wariness perfectly, making you feel the immense weight of the cultural and philosophical divide between them.
