EPISODE REVIEWS

Whoa, Goten just popped up and my jaw dropped seeing how much he’s a spitting image of young Goku! It’s kinda wild to see that familiar face again, making me wonder if he's gonna be just as much of a fighting prodigy as his dad.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 201 of 291, this lands squarely in the Great Saiyaman saga, the opening stretch of the Buu arc era that reintroduces Gohan as the central character years after the Cell Games concluded. The preceding episodes established the time skip and Gohan's transition to civilian life, and this episode crystallizes his new dual identity. It sets the stage for the World Martial Arts Tournament and the chain of events that will eventually escalate into the Majin Buu conflict.
