Episode Context

Falling at episode 202 of 291, this lands in the stretch between the Cell Saga's conclusion and the full momentum of the Buu Saga, a period where DBZ explores Gohan's life during the seven-year peace, his transition from battlefield warrior to high school student. As a filler episode, it contributes nothing to the canon storyline and can be skipped entirely without missing plot developments. The episodes surrounding it similarly flesh out Gohan's civilian life before the series pivots back to escalating threats and the introduction of major Buu Saga players.
