I am so here for the school setting and Gohan being a total nerd who can also stop a crime in two seconds flat without breaking a sweat

Videl is already onto him after like five minutes and it makes the school scenes so tense for no reason while he just smiles and hopes for the best

The shift to a school setting is such a weird choice after the Cell Games, but watching him try and act like a normal teenager is legitimately funny.

I still can't get over Gohan trying to play baseball and jumping ten feet in the air for a fly ball because he forgot he is not supposed to be a superhuman freak in front of everyone

Chi Chi finally got her wish of Gohan being a normal student and it is actually kind of sweet after everything he went through with Cell

Seven years of peace and now we get Gohan as a dorky teenager instead of the warrior who killed Cell. His accidental display of speed in front of Videl was great, because she is clearly way too smart for his bad acting. I am actually enjoying this break from the big villains and seeing the world celebrate Hercule is pure comedy

Gohan trying to follow his mom's rules while basically being a superhero is such a funny dynamic, and Videl catching him so fast was unexpected

Satan City is the most ridiculous name ever and I can't believe everyone actually thinks that loudmouth saved the world from Cell

The high school arc feels a bit too goofy after the Cell Games and you can really feel the lack of serious tension compared to the old sagas

The contrast between Gohan being a regular student and his struggle to hide his power around Videl felt very relatable and cute

Watching Gohan almost blow his cover during that gym class baseball game had me laughing because he really has no idea how to be a normal human

Videl already figuring out that Gohan is the golden warrior makes me wonder how long he can actually keep this secret up

I think the jump to high school stuff is such a weird change after the Cell saga but Videl seems like a cool addition so far

Gohan hiding his strength in baseball was hilarious but seeing the city named after that fraud Hercule actually made my skin crawl

It is so frustrating that everyone thinks Mr Satan defeated Cell but at least it gives some good comedy when Gohan has to walk through a city named after that guy

The seven year jump really changed the whole vibe and seeing Gohan as this polite kid trying to hide his super powers from a girl who happens to be Mr Satans daughter is such a weird coincidence

Gohan riding the Nimbus to school and then jumping off just to blend in is such a dork move and it makes the whole high school setting feel more fun than people say

The shift to high school stuff is such a change from the Cell fight but seeing Gohan struggle with trying to look like a normal person is actually more relatable than him fighting androids

I honestly missed the more grounded stuff in this series, so seeing Gohan finally getting to live a life that Chi-Chi wanted for him is really nice. It is pretty funny how he can't even play a simple game of baseball without accidentally showing off his strength, and I already like Videl because she actually has some common sense unlike the rest of the city.

I felt so weird seeing Gohan as a teenager after that huge time skip and seeing him stop those bank robbers as a super saiyan just to hide his identity was pretty clever

EPISODE CONTEXT

Landing at episode 200 of 291, this is the definitive launch point of the Great Saiyaman/World Tournament saga, set years after the defeat of Cell. The long stretch of intense battles and the Cell saga's dramatic conclusion are firmly in the rearview mirror, and this episode builds the civilian foundation that Gohan's next major arc will grow from. It introduces key new dynamics — including Gohan's double life and his connection to Satan City — that directly feed into the escalating events leading toward the Buu saga.
