The way Pikkon and Goku were moving across the arena made it feel like a real fight from the old days. Too bad the Grand Kai is such a lazy dude and disqualified them for touching the roof

Pikkon actually pushing Goku that hard was awesome even if it is just filler. Those Thunder Flash attacks looked like they were really going to finish Goku off before he found that opening

I felt so satisfied when Goku figured out the pattern to the Thunder Flash after getting blasted twice and then that bogus ending with the ceiling rule ruined it

Everyone talks about the power levels but seeing Goku actually have to use his head to counter the Thunder Flash was great. It sucks that a technicality ruined the winner but the fight was top tier

I cannot believe the Grand Kai pulled that disqualification move just to get out of training them. Goku finally used Super Saiyan Kaioken and then it all ends on a stupid technicality about the ceiling

The fight was going so well until that ending, but that just happens when the Grand Kai does not want to do any work. That Super Saiyan Kaioken was such a cool surprise though

Pikkon might be a filler character but he really showed out by taking those hits and staying on his feet. The animation during the Hyper Tornado was way better than a lot of the main stuff lately

Goku combining Super Saiyan and Kaioken really stole the show during the finals. It makes you wonder how strong Pikkon actually is if he can handle that much power and speed

The fight was amazing, but that technicality with the ceiling was such a garbage way to finish a match that was finally getting good

Goku using a Super Kaioken was unexpected and the visuals of the red and gold aura mixing together made that entire struggle against Pikkon feel much more intense

Grand Kai making up rules about the ceiling just to avoid declaring a winner was such a troll move after Goku landed that huge hit at the end

The way Pikkon took off those weights and still moved that fast was insane, and Goku barely managed to find a weakness in that Thunder Flash technique before the match got cut short

Seeing Goku use the Kaioken while being a Super Saiyan was the highlight for me because it felt so dangerous and cool even if the fight ended on a technicality

I actually really liked the back and forth between Goku and Pikkon during the tournament final even if it was just filler. It was interesting seeing Goku struggle against the Thunder Flash until he finally caught the pattern and countered it. The ceiling disqualification was a bit of a cheap way to end it but at least neither of them looked weak

Pikkon saying no games sounded exactly like what Gohan said to Cell and it felt like a weird copy but the fight itself was actually decent for filler

I think Pikkon was actually stronger because Goku had to resort to that Super Kaioken move just to keep up and then they both got robbed by a ceiling rule

The disqualification for hitting the ceiling was such a letdown after they both put in so much work and Pikkon was actually landing those Thunder Flash hits over and over

It is pretty rare to see a fight in this show where both guys are just going all out without a bunch of talking or waiting around for something to happen, and Pikkon is such a cool character, and even though this tournament is filler this match feels more intense than some of the main story stuff happening lately

Watching Goku figure out Pikkons stance reminds you that he actually knows how to fight and isnt just relying on his raw strength all the time

I am still kind of annoyed that the Grand Kai just disqualified them both for hitting the ceiling because it felt like such a cheap way to end such a high level match

EPISODE CONTEXT

Falling at episode 199 of 291, this sits in the stretch between major canon arcs, occupying the Other World Tournament filler saga that expanded on Goku's time in the afterlife. The preceding episodes established the tournament bracket and Pikkon as a formidable new rival, and this matchup serves as the filler arc's climax. Canon story progression resumes shortly after, steering toward the events that will define the Buu Saga.
