That contrast between the silly driving lessons and Vegeta pushing himself through 400 times gravity made me laugh because it made the comedy feel even more ridiculous

Goku and Piccolo destroying those cars during the test was exactly what happens when you put two planet busters behind a wheel and the instructor was totally losing his mind

The instructor yelling at Goku for going too fast while Piccolo is being super careful with his steering made for such a great dynamic and the car crash at the end felt so chaotic

I still cant get over Piccolo wearing that postboy shirt and those tiny hats while trying to steer a car and he looks so miserable the whole time

It makes zero sense that Piccolo needs a license when he has a cape and can fly but his reaction to the other drivers was funny enough that the logic does not matter

The lack of logic in this story is great because Goku can fly faster than any car but Chi-Chi still makes him get a license, and seeing him and Piccolo treat the driving test like a high stakes battle was amazing. It was a nice break from the android stuff and Piccolo being all grumpy in human clothes made my day.

Chi-Chi threatening Goku and Piccolo just to get them to do some chores is terrifying and seeing them both so scared of her was the highlight of the whole day

seeing the two strongest guys on earth almost die in a car crash because they wanted to race was the funniest thing this show has ever done

Piccolo in that POSTBOY shirt is the best thing to happen in this show and no one ever expects to see a Namekian road raging at an old man

I could not stop laughing when Chi-Chi chased them with that frying pan because she was so tired of walking everywhere and the look on their faces was perfect

Vegeta pushes himself through 400 times gravity while the others are failing driving tests, and it really shows how much he cares about getting stronger.

Goku and Piccolo trying to drive is the funniest thing ever and Piccolo looks so weird in those normal clothes while trying to handle a steering wheel

Piccolo grumbling about his postboy clothes while trying to navigate traffic is way more entertaining than half of the actual training arcs we usually get in this series

I laughed so hard when Piccolo started getting competitive with Goku on the road and they both forgot they were supposed to be acting like normal humans instead of super warriors

The driving school bits were okay for a minute, but the humor felt forced and repetitive after the first few crashes since it felt like a waste of time before the actual plot

The contrast between Vegeta training his heart out in the gravity room and Piccolo failing a basic driving test is such a great way to handle the downtime before the androids arrive

Goku trying to use the steering wheel like it is a weapon and completely wrecking the car is the exact kind of lighthearted filler that makes these characters feel more human

Chi-Chi losing her mind and chasing the bus hit me hard because it reminds me that she is actually the scariest character in the entire universe when she gets angry

It is funny seeing Piccolo wearing normal clothes and trying to drive a car but the jokes do drag on a bit too long after the initial shock of the outfit wears off

Watching Goku and Piccolo treat a driving test like a life or death battle while they crash into everything is easily the best thing this show has done during a break from the fighting
