Episode Context

After dozens of episodes spent recruiting Universe 7's team and navigating pre-tournament politics, episode 97 finally fires the starting gun on the Tournament of Power, the saga's centerpiece that will carry the series through its remaining episodes. The prior episode brought all eight universes to the World of Void and set the stage; this one unleashes the full-scale warfare. With 34 episodes still ahead, this marks the beginning of an extended, high-stakes gauntlet that will test every fighter on the roster.
