Episode Context

Coming off Episode 95's dramatic retrieval of Frieza and the tension his inclusion brought to Universe 7's fragile team chemistry, Episode 96 serves as the final bridge between preparation and all-out war. This is the last breath before Episode 97 kicks off the Tournament of Power proper, the defining saga of Dragon Ball Super's final act. At episode 96 of 131, the series is entering its endgame, and everything from recruitment arcs to exhibition matches has been building to this exact threshold.
