Episode Context

Sitting at episode 60 of 131, this lands deep in the Future Trunks saga, directly following the pivotal moment where Beerus destroyed the present-timeline Zamasu, a move the heroes hoped would resolve the crisis. This episode tests that assumption by returning to the future, and the identity revelation it delivers fundamentally reframes the conflict, setting up the more intense confrontations and escalating stakes that define the back half of this arc.
