Episode Context

After four episodes of setup, reintroducing the cast, establishing Beerus's search for the Super Saiyan God, and building tension through lighter moments, episode 5 delivers the first major confrontation and serves as the turning point from prologue to main conflict. This battle on King Kai's Planet is the catalyst that propels Goku and the Z Fighters into the larger God of Destruction arc, raising questions about power scaling that will define much of Dragon Ball Super's identity. Everything that follows in the coming episodes stems directly from what Goku learns here.
