Dragon Ball Super: Beerus
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Goku is a farmer now. Yeah, seriously, the guy who punched his way through intergalactic tyrants and ancient demons is literally tilling fields. Earth's been peaceful since Majin Buu went down, and everyone's just kind of vibing. That lasts about five minutes, because Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes up from a 39-year nap with a dream stuck in his head: something called a 'Super Saiyan God.' He wants to fight it. His search brings him straight to Goku, and when Goku goes full Super Saiyan 3. the form that used to be the ceiling, Beerus swats him aside like it's nothing. That power gap is what makes this arc hit different. You're watching characters you've known for decades realize they're not even playing the same game as this guy. And then Beerus shows up to Bulma's birthday party, which is exactly as chaotic as it sounds. This is Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, a 2026 TV series from Toei Animation that's essentially a visual overhaul of the original Dragon Ball Super, rebuilt with modern animation to actually do Toriyama's manga justice. The battle scenes look the way you always imagined them in your head. If you grew up on Naruto or One Piece and you've been curious about jumping into Dragon Ball's god-tier power scaling, this is a clean entry point. If you already know Dragon Ball but bounced off Super's early animation, this version was made specifically for you.

Beerus destroying half a planet because a dessert was too greasy is the pettiest god move and you have to respect the commitment
that image training sequence was everything i wanted. Goku shadowboxing Frieza and Cell in his head while standing in a radish field. manga readers got fed tonight. this is the one scene i needed finally animated
This anime is very marvelous very wonderful. I am so existing to watching this anime🥰🫶🏻✨
I couldn't stop thinking about Beerus blowing up half a planet over a greasy dessert. Petty god behavior and I am here for it
That mental training bit with Frieza and Cell in the new art got me. Best thing they added and its not close
Goku actually feels like a grown man who misses fighting here instead of a manchild. Been waiting years for that
I could not stop grinning at Goku pulling that tree stump out with one hand like it was nothing while looking bored out of his mind. That is the whole man in one shot. Farming duty never stood a chance
you can tell they went for the Broly and Daima look with the line work. Beerus standing still while a giant dinosaur roars at him and just looking tired of it all is such a good way to establish the power gap without a real fight
So quero assistir aaaa😭😭😭😭
my favorite thing about this whole episode is how quiet it lets Beerus be. he wipes out a planet on a whim and the show doesnt need to sell you on how scary he is with a big speech. the scene where the fiery Goku vision flashes in his head right after the explosion sold the whole prophecy setup for me
i actually miss the slower farm stuff they cut. the original premiere let you sit with Goku being bored on a tractor and that boredom was the point. now its just boom boom boom get to the plot
Vegeta in the gravity room yelling about not being second to Kakarot anymore while the whole universe is about to get shaken up by a god he doesnt even know exists yet. poor guy has no idea
Best anime
Ssdd
Goku dodged the entire point of King Kai's warning. Man heard a god was coming and lit up like it was a festival. That reckless streak is why I love him and also why everything goes wrong
The prophecy scene with the Oracle Fish dragged a bit for me. Still love Beerus eating dessert while the whole universe waits on his dream though
King Kai slapping Goku for saying Yo to a god is the funniest thing in the whole episode. Dude was begging for his life while Goku wanted a sparring match
That chop to the neck and Super Saiyan 3 just shatters off him. Not a fight. An extermination. Beerus never even pulls his hands out from behind his back
I couldn't stop grinning at the two-finger forehead flick. Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 and Beerus just yawns and taps him once. That tap did more than the whole original fight ever did for me
I keep seeing people pick apart the silhouette in Beerus's vision and honestly I'm one of them. paused it four times. it might just be the standard Super Saiyan God shape but the shoulder line looks off and now I'm in a rabbit hole reading theories at midnight. fight was great too but that little tease is what has my brain stuck
