EPISODE REVIEWS

Leans into worldbuilding. Can feel a bit slow, but it helps build the setting.

We got a shower of bad breath here, and I both feel sorry and lucky for this guy. It is partly a stretch. But giving focus on the thing that puzzles Shin from the beginning pays it off.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 5's introduction of Panzy into the group dynamic, 'Lightning' uses a Goku-Glorio sparring match to solidify the party's internal relationships before external threats escalate. Sitting at the end of the first quarter of this 20-episode run, it functions as a relationship-building bridge episode. The next episode, 'Collar,' signals the Gendarmerie's pursuit intensifying, making this a calm-before-the-storm beat that earns its character work.
