Quite a creepy episode.. especially the akuma. But it does not miss the action. Also love how strategic Kanda is.. but bro really needs to follow his own advice lol. Again, Allen is a pretty good mc.

This episode picks up after the last one and goes more into the Ghost of Martel mystery. Lowkey that part was more interesting than the fighting. I liked that it went more in that direction.

The truth behind the Ghost of Martel is slowly unraveled with a mysterious vibe. This episode's Akuma battle is a great showcase of Allen’s traits that set him apart from Kanda. The featured vocal track is beautiful and poignant, capturing the show’s melancholic tone perfectly.

Excellent episode. The action is not super intense but we do get a lot of new info. We learn the nature of akumas and how they evolve, and we also learn more about Kanda's powers and reasonings. Allen is the sweetest soul and will save everybody if he's able to!

This episode focuses more on the Ghost of Martel. It’s a bit slow, but not boring because of the evolved Akuma’s deceitful fighting style against Allen and Kanda. I’m excited to learn more about the place’s backstory in the next episode.

The villains start acting way smarter than expected and suddenly the fight feels less like monster hunting and more like a chess match.

A slower story centered on a quiet village and a kind old man tied to Innocence. The pacing is gentle, but the emotional undertones and looming danger keep it engaging.

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode continues directly from 'The Ghost of Mater,' deepening the Mater investigation as Allen and Kanda's partnership is tested against a significantly escalating threat in a Level 2 Akuma. At just episode 4 of 103, it represents the series establishing its dramatic template early — pairing intense combat with layered side characters. It feeds directly into 'Let Me Hear the Lullaby,' where the confrontation and the emotional threads surrounding Guzol and Lala reach their resolution.
