Allen used "Flirt"; it was super effective! Bro, this episode was creepy but kinda heartbreaking. I absolutely love the song, though, it's very enchanting. Also really love the difference in personalities between Kanda and Allen.

Emotional episode man... Great mixture of emotion mixed with some cool action. Not to mention the the doll's beautiful yet haunting singing up until the very end. Just a good ending to a first mission arc.

We get a quick recap, leading into the follow-up to the last episode. Boss fight energy in the action-filled latter half, and the Kanda-Allen tag team gets a spotlight. Lala and Guzol’s tragic story fits the emo vibe of this series well. This mission ends on a bittersweet note.

The story of Guzol and Lala made me so emotional! It's so sad! Also we get some sweet sweet action this episode. We learn more about Allen's powers and we understand that Innocence can cause very unpredictable scenarios. I'm cheering for the friendship between Allen and Kanda!

The episode leans more into character development rather than action. It explores the emotional weight behind the mission, which adds depth to the story and keeps it engaging.

Even when he isn’t physically there the Earl somehow manages to make every scene feel ten times more threatening.

The story reaches a bittersweet resolution that highlights the emotional cost of the Akuma cycle. It’s less about flashy action and more about the tragic stories behind the battles, which fits the series’ tone well.

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode closes out the 'Ghost of Mater' arc, delivering resolution to the conflict that began in the previous episode, 'Old Man of the Soil and a Lonely Night's Aria.' It marks an early tonal benchmark for the series, establishing the emotional stakes that will define Allen's journey. The conclusion directly feeds into the next episode, 'That Which Calls Forth Disaster,' signaling that the threats facing the exorcists are only beginning to escalate.
