EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode is quite lore-heavy and a must-watch if you want to understand what is going on in the anime. Allen seems to be a pretty well-developed character who has already made me chuckle quite a bit.

This episode goes much more into explaining the world this anime takes place in. Also sets the overarching goal. Pretty interesting and I look forward to watching how the rest plays out.

Episode Context

Coming directly off Allen's baptism-by-fire encounter with the Akuma, this episode pivots the focus inward, from the battlefield to the institution behind the fight. It establishes the Black Order as a complex, politically charged organization rather than a simple heroic base, laying essential groundwork for the dynamics Allen must navigate across the rest of the series. What unfolds here sets the interpersonal stakes that will shape the long road ahead through all 103 episodes.
