The episode seems to lure you in with some already established lore... It also tries to be a little unpredictable and mysterious, which I personally appreciate. Also blends in a little comedy with the animation and character lines. The action is pretty on point.

A good intro to get you intrigued in this gothic world crawling with akumas. I really liked it. Main protag seems like a very sweet guy despite having to deal with the horrors on a daily basis

The episode plants the core premise and establishes Allen's identity before he ever reaches the Black Order, making it essential viewing rather than skippable setup.
