I dislike the way Kanda and Lavi dealt with the dad, but then the dad ended up acting out too... so that's a thing. I'm glad the father was finally consoled, though... pretty decent episode.

Wrap up of the snowy mountain filler mission. It does end on a wholesome note with the father and daughter. Overall it's ok. Nothing to write home about tho

A snowstorm story alternating with a burning house flashback? Ironic. Art and animation improve massively from the last episode, plus a great Lavi-Kanda-Allen team-up to boot! It's lacking in emotional payoff, but there’s huge boss-fight energy and great teamwork in this episode.

Loved to see some sweet action, and the great teamwork! We see that akumas can be quite cunning and versatile, but our heroes are up to the task. I'm glad the family got some closure, but I clapped to Allen calling the dad out for neglecting his living child!

Great teamwork by Lavi, Allen, and Yu. I’m relieved that the father and daughter finally got closure for Jacob, even though I’m a bit annoyed with the father for what he did during the fight against the Akuma because of his stubbornness.

The fight finally starts swinging in the heroes’ favor and the tension is still crazy high.

The harsh winter setting adds tension to the journey. The standout moment is a striking scene in the middle of the snowstorm. The atmosphere carries the episode more than the plot.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 15 of 103, this is a filler continuation of 'The Leaf of Revival' storyline, extending a standalone village mystery that runs parallel to the main canon. It does not advance the primary narrative but bridges into episode 16, 'Millennium Swordsman,' which returns focus to canon material and introduces a new mission centered on a legendary swordsman.
