Pretty decent episode, predictable and glad to see the three dudes working together. Kanda, Lavi and Allen seem like they'd eventually morph into great teammates. Also, new villain introduction... He seems lowkey rude though :<

The start of a filler mission that takes place on a snowy mountain. This mission has Allen, Lavi, and Yuu working together. There's not really much to say abt it tbh.

Mission-of-the-week returns! Red-Oni, Blue-Oni, and Allen caught in-between? What a chaotic combo LOL. This episode, while having a sad story, doesn’t quite have the dark and melancholic tone from previous episodes. If you enjoy the action though, there’s still some of it here.

A new mission starts with our main characters. I just know they'll become good friends, even if Kanda is all prickly about it! There's not much new information, but the feeling that something big is to come is there. Weaker akumas can also be very scheming at times.

It feels like the story isn’t progressing the way I expected. It follows the usual pattern—new mission and fights against Akuma—but there’s not much development, especially with the characters not discovering new techniques to fight.

Reinforcements arrive just in time because otherwise the mission would have been a complete disaster.

A new mission begins, and the story starts expanding beyond the earlier arcs. The standout moment is the introduction of a mysterious location tied to the mission. It sets up a more adventurous tone.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 14 of 103, this episode opens D.Gray-man's first filler arc, stepping away from the main narrative following the events of 'With the Coat.' It introduces standalone themes of loss and moral ambiguity that don't directly advance the central plot but echo the emotional undercurrents running through the Exorcists' world. The arc continues in subsequent episodes with similar self-contained, thematically driven stories before the series returns to its source material.
