This episode introduces two new characters. One of them being more of a straight man for all the nonsense going on which is nice to have. The other one is just as chaotic as Mashiro is lol. Overall a good episode, its ur run of the mill rival plot.

This felt like a classic rivalry episode. I was pretty entertained seeing Asunaro try so hard to replace Mashiro as the "genius" assistant.

Sharp, parody-heavy graphics introduce the new rivals. Asunaro's lockpicking his way into the office is the peak moment. This episode feels like the agency just got a lot more crowded.

A new figure known as the “great detective” Asunaro appears, bringing a different style of investigation into the mix. Mashiro watches closely as the detectives compare methods, while Nagumo quietly observes the situation with his usual laid-back attitude.

Rival detective Asunaro arrives. He’s a walking meme who fails at everything. Nagumo’s back is the real final boss here.

The show finally starts teasing the real conflict and suddenly this adorable candy-colored world feels like it’s hiding a surprisingly serious secret.

An introduction of a new yet intriguing character, a young and rich detective and his tsundere assistant. Turns out he would be the rival of Mashiro instead of Nagumo. Their rivalry is fun to watch and is a nice change of pace, the silly faces they made are a riot🤣

I love the diversity and uniquness of each character including character dynamics. I especially love the "That's Strange..." moments of Asunaro. The faces and retorts remain cosistent. The use of quotes to trashtalk is definitely new to me and as always is very hilarious.

🤣😂 I can’t with this episode. Asunaro thinking so seriously and then saying the most ridiculous things with a straight face had me dying. The voice acting really carried the comedy. It barely makes sense sometimes, but it’s insanely fun to watch.

EPISODE CONTEXT

After Episode 2 cemented Mashiro's resolve to assist Nagumo, Episode 3 disrupts that dynamic by introducing Asunaro as a credible competitor for the role, adding a triangular tension that will likely fuel much of the season's comedy and character development. At the quarter-mark of this 12-episode run, the series is still in setup mode, expanding its core cast and establishing the interpersonal friction that drives its humor. This episode lays the groundwork for how Nagumo, Mashiro, and Asunaro will coexist — and potentially collaborate — as the cases ahead inevitably grow more complex.
