A more rapid fire joke episode with three separate segments as opposed to two like the first episode. Really liked the weird completely unrelated English statement gag in the third one. It caught me off guard and made me giggle lol.

I found it hilarious seeing a "ghost" mystery turn out to be a classmate just wanting a date, only for me to see the episode end with Nagumo getting arrested as an underwear thief.

Expressive character graphics highlight Nagumo's constant back pain. Nagumo being suspected of underwear theft is the peak moment. make me realize like his reputation can’t get any lower.

Mashiro eagerly drags Nagumo into a strange case involving rumors of ghosts. While she excitedly investigates every clue, Nagumo calmly points out the more realistic explanations. Their completely different approaches to detective work make the episode pretty entertaining.

A "ghost hunt" where the strategy is just punching knees. Mashiro takes a selfie with a literal bomb. Peak logic.

Everything still looks sweet and cheerful but now the story quietly slides in some shady visitors and suddenly you're watching every interaction like a detective.

A chaotic start of the episode. There are even times that the roles of Mashiro (boke) and Nagumo (tsukkomi) have swapped making the interaction looked fresh even the cat and other people are making gags. Any good gag anime isn't without a parody skit.

This episode really sets the anime up to be a great comedic anime. The characters are really consistent especially with their hillarious retorts. The detective portion is good and just enough. The faces, references from animes, jokes and absurdities are very hilarious.

Jeez every episode is hilarious 😂 Mashiro-chan is like a gorilla in fights but scared of ghosts. And what the hell were they even hunting this time? Feels like it’s trying to compete with Gintama with all the chaos. Mashiro’s nonsense English had me dying 😂

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 1 established the Nagumo-Mashiro partnership and the show's comedic-mystery identity; this second outing stress-tests that formula by throwing three distinct case types at the duo in quick succession. It's still early-season foundation work—building chemistry and range rather than advancing a serialized plot. The variety here signals that the series intends to escalate both its case complexity and character dynamics as it moves deeper into its 12-episode run.
