I understand having an episode like this in this arc, considering they are building up towards the big fight. For me, it was more of a laid-back episode, but with sprinkles of foreshadowing. But I’ve got to say, I was pleased to see Tengen in action again after his retirement as

Our heroes going in extreme traning ?? Well our flashy hashira is here Tengen is here ? Our protagonists have to go all sorts of training will they be able to complete it properly?

You would love this episode if you love to see the training and how each character plays our their role. Little bit of everything. Laugh, Fight, Training, and much more.

This episode's basically 20 minutes of watching regular slayers get absolutely destroyed by Tengen's training while Tanjiro breezes through it with that stupid smile, kinda funny ngl. If you just wanna hang with the characters and watch Uzui be flashy? Solid time.

Progress comes with pressure. The episode leans into endurance and mental strain, reinforcing that growth here is brutal, not glamorous. Every moment sharpens resolve and respect for the stakes ahead.

I enjoyed the rhythmic noise of the blows of the swords. The animation was vibrant and energetic, particularly when it came to the drills with the Sound Hashira. Listening to the students speak was full of grit and determination. I was hyped to see everyone push themselves.

The training intensifies, pushing Tanjiro and the others past their limits. The episode blends sharp humor with harsh discipline, showing how serious the Hashira are about preparation. It’s less about flashy fights and more about growth, grit, and mental strength.

This episode slows things down and commits to the training atmosphere. It's less about hype and more about grind. The pacing is slowed down intentionally. It focuses on foundation and mindset between characters. Still visually very consistent and steady.

this episode gives a glimpse of how brutal the hashira training is and the fact that it was for endurance makes it a whole lot tougher.
not much action compared to other seasons' episodes but still worth a view

Tanjiro is back! He starts with Uzui’s "Basic Stamina" course, which is basically running until your soul leaves your body. Great to see the retired Flashy King again, even if he’s retired into a full-time drill sergeant role.

Fully healed Tanjiro dives into Tengen's foundational training, facing wooden sword strikes and endurance laps that crush other slayers' spirits. During breaks, Tanjiro shares vivid Upper Moon battle tales, unnerving trainees who doubt their odds against elites like Muzan.

The episode opens with the high-octane energy of Tengen Uzui’s training, a gruelling testament to hard work and raw determination. Underlying the intensity is a profound sense of mutual respect; Uzui clearly views Tanjiro not just as a student, but a comrade who saved his life

Watching Tanjiro train under Uzui and how he and his wives seem so proud of him is so wholesome. This episode felt like that ray of sunshine in the winter storm. THE graphics as usual are amazing. Treat to eyes.

EPISODE CONTEXT

After episode 2 explored Giyu Tomioka's internal conflict and personal history, this third episode pivots squarely to Tanjiro, shifting the arc's focus from emotional backstory to active preparation. Sitting early in the eight-episode season, it establishes the structure and stakes of the Hashira Training itself — a corps-wide effort building toward the inevitable final confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji. Expect subsequent episodes to cycle through different Hashira trainers, escalating the difficulty and deepening character dynamics as the season progresses.
