EPISODE CONTEXT
Following "Nightmare," where Ryo's disturbing visions first took hold, "Ritual" escalates the series' central conflict by pulling the cult's dark practices out of the background and into direct focus. At episode two of thirteen, the show is firmly in its setup phase, laying the ideological and supernatural groundwork for what's coming. This episode directly feeds into "Resurrection," planting early signals that a major demonic force is on the verge of being unleashed.
