EPISODE REVIEWS

I'm in love with the fact that we have an entire episode dedicate to Junpei's internal conflict that ranges from superficial to deep. It's so refreshing take to have Junpei act like a shallow high schooler to have room for his growth and for Luou to shine as someone who doesn't take back down from bullying. Junpei becomes a character that needs to redeemed himself instead of a character who becomes a hero. For a story in a high school setting, it is very apt.

This episode explores Junpei's inner turmoil and shows us a different side of Luou, offering an emotionally resonant depiction of bullying and the pressure to be seen as manly. The will-he-won't-he of joining ballet is resolved in a way that makes sense for Junpei's character.
