What a way to introduce an added layer of internal conflict for Murao. I thought his resolve wasn't going to be tested until much later but I enjoyed how early to have his heart shaken as his path is being pulled in different directions.

Another great episode. The introduction of Luou is a great payoff after being built up last episode. Junpei's internal struggle is very interesting as well, as we see him grapple with passion for ballet, the expectations of others and his feelings for Miyako.

Episode Context

Coming off Junpei's tentative first steps back toward ballet in Episode 1, this second episode escalates his internal conflict by introducing Luou Mori as both a mirror and a threat to his aspirations. It's a critical early-season pivot that establishes the rivalry and relational triangle that will fuel much of the drama across the remaining nine episodes. The groundwork laid here, Junpei's jealousy, Luou's enigmatic presence, Miyako's position between them, becomes the emotional architecture the series builds on going forward.
