EPISODE REVIEWS

Interestingly, this episode really marks the start of a major twist in the gradually establishing narrative's core direction after the riveting events from the previous episodes. And honestly, this one relies on a somewhat quiet, cliche political trope, but its redeeming highlight is the deepening, profoundly character-driven development.

Finally, a chapter with substance, with real threats and genuine dangers. The origin story of Vino's loyalty to Narek couldn't be more generic, but their friendship is still endearing. I appreciate that this anime acknowledges that the carelessness of the prince of the most warlike kingdom has its drawbacks; it's obvious that someone like him lacks true authority in his kingdom, and in a realistic scenario, that makes him a target for conspiracies. This is made abundantly clear in this episode, which, after so much nonsense, hits us hard with royal conflicts and war preparations.

Prince Narek sending soldiers to Milidonia finally shows his serious side as a leader instead of just his usual vanity. It proves he can take real military action when it matters, rather than just his usual fashion showoffs
