Episode Context

Coming directly off Episode 12, which sent Yama toward Higashi Village and deepened concerns around the Kagemoris and the twins' family ties, this episode follows through on that threat and gives it a face in Ivan and the Daikyo and Shokyo Daemons. At the midpoint of a 24-episode season, it functions as a pivot that trades answers for new pressure, widening the scope of danger rather than narrowing it. Episode 14 picks up the emotional and investigative fallout seeded here, making Episode 13 a necessary bridge for anyone tracking the season's larger mysteries.
