I actually felt so confused watching the man hating groupies use their psychic powers to fight because it was just a total mess and the writing was pretty weak

The mix of psychic violence and the sex scenes made the whole episode feel like a messy experiment that did not quite land even if the animation for the powers looked decent

The tonal reset felt way too jarring and the man hating groupies were just annoying to watch especially when the psychic battles started getting repetitive and boring halfway through

I actually liked how they leaned into the sci-fi elements because the psychic groupies were a nice change of pace from the more grounded episodes, and the way the supernatural virginity worked was super bizarre but seeing the campus get saved by the main couple was kind of charming in a retro way, and it definitely kept me interested until the very end

You have to wonder why they went so hard on the psychic battle theme just to end it with a ten minute straight scene that barely felt connected to the rivalry

Watching the senpai try to stop them with her powers was just uncomfortable and not in a way that actually served the story or the characters at all

That connection between the two psychics despite their groups being at war was my highlight because the supernatural virginity trope they used felt really unique and strange in a good way

It is a total pivot from the previous vibe, but the concept of psychic virgins fighting a bunch of lecherous guys is definitely more creative than the usual stuff here

The psychic powers made the whole thing feel way more like a weird sci-fi action flick than the usual stuff and seeing the groupies go all out with their mental attacks was actually pretty cool

I think the lesbian senpai character was just too creepy even for this series and her hating every guy in existence felt really forced and awkward for the plot

That ending where their love power literally redeems the entire campus through sex was the dumbest thing and it felt like the writers just ran out of ideas for the supernatural stuff

you can really see how this paved the way for future stuff with the way it blends different genres like sci-fi and adult themes so aggressively

my brain felt like it was melting watching those girls scream about hating men while using psychic blasts and it just felt way too mean spirited for me

it really goes hard on the mix of violence and sex which is what you expect from this series, but the psychic powers added a cool sci-fi layer

going from mako to this psychic groupie thing is such a huge jump and the man hating vibes are just over the top even for this series

i thought the psychic battle stuff was such a weird twist for an adult show and the girls using their powers like that felt so different from the usual mako stuff

The whole setup with the Super Virgin Club and the Virgin Group feels like a fever dream and the way it uses psychic powers to handle themes of sexuality is actually pretty creative for this kind of show. Mako and Tamaki choosing each other despite the literal war between their groups adds some stakes, and the clunky, exaggerated feminist commentary makes it even weirder

mako turned on her own girls so fast and it was pretty intense seeing the two leaders actually fall for each other

my eyes were glued to the way the psychic energy looked during the intimate scenes and it felt very trippy

seeing the virgin group try so hard and then everything goes psychic and violent is such a trip

EPISODE CONTEXT

Landing at episode eight of thirty-eight, Super Virgin follows the more emotionally intimate 'Don't Do It Mako! Mako Sexy Symphony Part 1,' which traced a schoolgirl's internal awakening, and pivots sharply toward group dynamics and psychic rivalry. As part of Cream Lemon's anthology structure, this episode functions as a tonal reset — introducing a fresh premise and new characters rather than continuing prior storylines. It bridges into 'Happening Summer,' which shifts the series toward seasonal adventure territory.
