It's pretty nice to see Ayanokoji go solo and I think he's going to go on a slow pace first. I'm curious to what the other groups will do knowing that it's all about mind games. And of course, Koenji will be a wild horse I think.

Island arc finally starts. Ayanokouji solo moment. It gives him room to show more skills and more screen time. We also get some tragic backstory that makes the mood kind of sad

Seeing how characters interact when they know they’re being manipulated is hype and tense. This episode feels like the calm right before the storm. The pacing is little bit slow but the tension is high.

The Nanase backstory was the most graphic and tragic backtsory we've seen to date, excluding Ayanokoji. The first episode for the survival island exam arc begins! We're off to an amazing start! The adaptation and pacing is really well done! The boards and direction of this episode, especially its close-up shots of their eyes, are what make it stand out, even if it's just the beginning the arc!

Akhirnya test dimulai setelah cukup lama diisi pengenalan dan strategi dari tiap karakter. Ayanokouji yang jalan solo rasanya bakal babat habis semuanya, wkwkww. Aku juga penasaran apakah Koenji benar-benar bisa jadi top 1. Di sisi lain, gerak-gerik Nanase masih terasa sangat suspicious. Meski begitu, episode ini masih belum punya konflik besar yang benar-benar pecah.

Bagian pembukanya lumayan intens, tapi setelah itu temponya agak melambat karena masih pengenalan aturan tes dan situasinya. Semuanya kerasa masih belum bener-bener mulai, jadi jujur cukup membosankan buat ngikutin episode kali ini.

Creo que Nanase no estaba disimulando nada al estar pareciendo todo el tiempo donde estuviera Ayanokoji, de resto no hay mucho mas que ver en este episodio, muy lento la verdad

Nanase being suspicious is so obvious it almost feels like a red herring LMAOOOO. At some point, suspense without payoff just becomes filler :3

“Conflict is allowed” sounds crazy… and then nothing crazy actually happens 💀 Feels like fake hype to make the arc seem darker than it actually is and Tsukishiro is supposed to be intimidating, but he’s all talk here so meh episode

Too many mechanics, not enough emotional or strategic payoff early on and the watch + zone system overcomplicates things without adding real tension so it feels like reading game instructions instead of watching a story -_-

Summer exam has started. So far, it’s mostly about exploring the exam location, but you can already feel the dark and tense vibe in the scenes, since something unexpected might happen at any moment. Now i'm more curious about what will happen next, haha !!

I loved seeing the sunset scene with Karuizawa and Kiyotaka and it felt like a nice breath of air before the island madness started

Nanase asking to join him is clearly a trap, but Ayanokoji agreeing just so he can watch her is exactly how he should handle it

Hoshinomiya trying to recruit Ayanokoji with those math scores was funny but you can tell she knows he is hiding some serious skills

Sudou actually acting like a rational leader and shutting down the complaining is some great development for him

I am so ready for the White Room assassin reveal because the tension between Ayanokoji and the first years is getting thick after that briefing

The opening flashback for Nanase was so dark and her hating Ayanokoji for something that probably was not even his fault is crazy
