QUICK TAKES

Quite a slow pace in this episode and a lot of conversations which I think will be key to the next episodes. It feels like a lot more build up and planning than the previous episodes. Still a great episode to build up anticipation for me.

Lots of talking scenes between Ayanokouji and other people here. But they discuss crucial things. It makes the pace slower before the end of the episode, then it shows the island arc is about to start

Un episodio lleno de tensión psicológica entre los personajes, donde vemos a Ayanokoji actuando en solitario esquivando las estrategias de los otros grupos.

The pacing is little bit slow compared to the previous episode. The spotlight turning directly onto the power players makes everything feel so much more dangerous. Let's see how they gonna get out of this mess.

The episode kept me engaged with the tense negotiation between classes and lightened the mood with some quirky moments.

Ryuen especially stood out again 👀 Every time he’s on screen, the energy changes instantly. You never know whether he’s about to expose someone, start a fight, or casually destroy another student mentally. His rivalry with Ayanokoji still carries the show hard.

What stood out most is how layered the strategy is getting. Ayanokoji isn’t just reacting anymore, but he’s actively shaping the situation, while other characters like Ryūen and Horikita are making bold moves of their own. The animation is ugly asf though xD

The biggest strength of the episode is the looming threat. The last Tsukishiro moment raises the stakes a lot, especially since it confirms that the danger isn’t just from other students anymore, it’s coming from the system itself. :3

This episode feels like pure setup, but in a way that still keeps you hooked. There’s not much action yet the tension is constantly building through conversations and quiet power plays. You can tell something big is coming with the island exam and everyone is already in position

The pacing of the storyline is still tense, just like in the previous ones, and it’s still more about planning and forming alliances as they deal with problems for their upcoming exam. And OMG! I didn’t expect that cliffhanger, I really want to know what will happen in the next.

I can finally see Kiryuuin in action and she is everything I wanted. Her and Ayanokoji talking in that gazebo had so much tension and she definitely knows he is hiding his true abilities

Kiryuuin is basically the female version of Ayanokouji and she really put Nagumo in his place during their talk in the garden

I really wonder what the coffee dilution thing was about and it felt like Ayanokouji was just bored while Katsuragi made the biggest decision of his life
skull_kid's avatar

I can't believe Katsuragi actually switched to Ryuuen's class and seeing him sign that contract was a massive shift for the hierarchy. Ryuuen is definitely cooking something crazy and the stakes feel so high

Horikita making a deal with Kouenji for his total freedom is such a gamble. That guy is a complete wildcard and you have to hope he actually tries because she is putting everything on the line

I saw Kiryuuin whisper something that made Kiriyama literally run away, while she just sat there like she owned the place. It is crazy how much power she has over everyone without even trying

Kiryuuin dominated that entire conversation with Nagumo and Kiriyama in such a satisfying way. She basically treated the student council president like a child and she is clearly going to be a menace

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving at the midpoint of a 16-episode season, this episode directly follows the strategic groundwork laid in 'Plotting,' escalating from deliberation into something more urgent and consequential. It serves as the final pressure point before the survival test launches, making it a crucial bridge between planning and execution. Miss this episode and the alliance dynamics heading into the second half of the season will lack crucial context.
