QUICK TAKES

This episode reveals just how calculating Ayanokoji is when devising his strategies. An unexpected character appears and makes this episode even more exciting. Seeing Ayanokoji show his serious side is so thrilling.

Damn! That was a hell of an episode! We get to see a lot of Ayanokoji besting all of them. I never expected Ryuen to lend Ayanokoji a hand like that. President Nagumo? more like get down on your knees Nagumo haha.

The storyboard was great and the aura of Ryuuen , Ayanokouji color close up shots were cool. I love the visuals of this episode. I would like to see a 1 hour episode next week for the finale with all the budget to make it cinema for the season. Plz Lerche and animators go all out with no opening and closing next week with extra screentime on the characters.

This episode was another one that focused heavily on strategic planning and how the characters put their plans into action. It wasn’t boring at all in fact, it was impressive to see how they came up with those ideas. What I enjoyed the most was what Ryūen did to Hōsen. Honestly, he deserved it because Hōsen has been really annoying me, haha!

The animation on the Hosen and Ryuen fight was top tier and I’ve been waiting for the Ichinose confession scene since I read it in the light novel lol. The Nagumo and Ayanokoji scene could’ve been done much better especially with the random green lighting in Ayanokoji’s eyes but still a peak moment.

Every episode introduces another plan, another counterplan, and another counter-counterplan. Can we please reach the climax already? Everything is going so SLOW

The tension was great, but man this island exam has been going on forever.

Ryuen vs Hosen was exactly the kind of chaos I wanted from this exam arc.

“Power and Will” delivers another tense battle of strategy and manipulation, keeping the psychological intensity that makes the series so engaging. Ayanokoji’s calm presence and the shifting class dynamics make this episode a compelling setup for bigger conflicts ahead.

EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 14 established the first-years' tactical blueprint against Ayanokōji; Episode 15 is where that plan meets live resistance, shifting the season from setup into its climactic confrontation phase. Positioned as the penultimate episode, it carries the weight of delivering payoff on threads built throughout the semester arc while deliberately withholding resolution to drive momentum into the finale. Episode 16 will inherit whatever damage — strategic or relational — this episode inflicts on the power balance between Ayanokōji and his challengers.
