Chrono's past with Mary Magdalene was beautifully tragic 💔 Him remembering her predicting her own death at his hands was heavy. The flashback animation was gorgeous. This episode had so much emotional weight.

In this episode we get a lot of insight between Chrono and Magdalene...his love for her and why he also loves Rosette. Speaking of rosette, somehow she has defaulted to the dark side. A damsel in distress waiting for her true love to come save her. Good watch.

We've known that Chrono carries guilt. But now we see why. He loved Mary Magdalene, and she loved him enough to sacrifice herself. The prophecy that Mary Magdalene would die by Chrono's hands is tragic irony he's been running from that fate his whole life, and now he's watching Rosette walk the same path.
