This episode is so wholesome and bittersweet, it's making me tear up. It is incredibly heartwarming to see the Chihaya-Taichi-Arata dynamics grow and how far they've come as a squad. It's making me even more excited to see the next episode and find out what happens next. 9.5/10

This episode really builds on the trio's relationship as we see them playing Karuta together. What happen right after, latter down the episode felt like a hard pill to swallow, but that's life, and this might be the turning point for these characters. I like Arata and Taichi here

Things get interesting when the trio joins a tournament. It’s their first time playing as a team, but their dynamic already clicks. You can feel Chihaya getting more into karuta, with a nice emotional vibe. It’s exciting, and the animation really supports it.

chihaya is such a likeable lead, the writing makes her relatable without overdoing it. arata being a master while still acting his age is a nice touch, the characters feel authentic. then the gut punch ending hit hard.
